What ever you said is true in the article, I have been through this phase and realized that by becoming in-different and cold you are suffocating your true soul which will not really help you realize the the true you.
Be your self irrespective of indifference in people as a social being we cannot keep everyone happy all the time truth is Are you keeping yourself happy ?.
